This site is dedicated to the memory of William Magowan.

WILLIAM GRANT (WILL) MAGOWAN 6th March 1997 - 15th October, 2009 We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation and sincere thanks to all relatives, friends near and far and to our neighbours for the comforting and supportive words, for the many cards and personal letters of condolence, for the beautiful floral tributes and the generous donations to Asthma UK. To the children at St Mary’s Hall Stonyhurst and Westholme schools for the many messages and prayers, the teachers and staff who gave their help in many ways and where no request has seemed too much. To the medical team who did everything they could for William and to Sarah from the Co-Operative Funeral Care who guided us with tender care and compassion. Our special thanks are given to Jeanette and Alison who despite their own grief carried us through with unyielding strength and support, also to William’s grandparents for remaining by our side despite their own overwhelming sorrow. To Jill and Simon; we will forever hold dear in our hearts for the warmth, compassion and care you gave so spontaneously whilst cradling our “sweetheart” in his final moments here on Earth. Our family has experienced such an outpouring of support that it is impossible to put our appreciation into words, it is wonderful to know that William touched so many lives in so many different ways. Our long difficult journey is eased by the love, support and energy from you all, by the comfort, warmth and encouragement of each embrace, by the memories of William’s abundance of enthusiasm for life and for the great joy in everything he did. The strength of the invisible cord to our child is our life line as never before and we are thankful that God connects us this way. On earth we had William for 12 years but he will be forever in heaven and in our hearts. William our Guardian Angel: BARRIE VIVIAN LE PAGE - GRANDAD 20th October 1938 - 6th September 2010 After a short but very brave battle against cancer, a devoted Grandad to William and Christopher.
